Enrolment Management Plan

Residents within the Glenview catchment area are given priority of access to the educational services at Glenview State School. There is a large potential for growth in the catchment area, but the ability for Glenview School to accommodate this growth is limited. Consequently the school has an Enrolment Management Plan. Please visit the Education Queensland website for an explanation of the Enrolment Management Plans.

To identify which catchment area your student resides in please follow the link to the School Catchment Map website.

Enrolments can be made a any time by arranging an interview with the Principal. Children must be 6 years old by June 30 in the year they enrol in Year 1, and 5 by June 30 in the year they enrol in Prep. Orientation for Prep students is held in late October of the preceding year. A birth certificate will need to be sighted prior to the commencement of schooling.

View the Department's prep ready reckoner calculator to determine when your child can commence their preparatory year.

For students intending to transfer to a new school, parents are requested to advise the school administration office a minimum of 7 days before the intended last day of school to allow for preparation of a transfer note. The transfer note will be either given to the student or student's parent/caregiver on request or forwarded to the receiving school.

Student work folios are forwarded directly to the new school on receipt of a written request.
